The Newcomen Centre

Guy’s & St. Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust

Health

The Newcomen Centre is situated in the South Wing of St Thomas’ Hospital, a Grade II Listed Building. The works saw the conversion of the existing departments into a new Paediatric Neurosciences Department. The centre also has a separate Sleep Disorder Unit for Children and offers assessment and full office support facilities for autistic children including observation and consulting rooms with audio-visual recording systems, training facilities, conference and telecommunication rooms.

The Speaker of the House of Commons, the Rt Hon John Bercow MP together with Patricia Moberly (Chairman of Guy’s and St Thomas’ until 2011) officially opened the Children’s Neurosciences Centre at St Thomas’ – the largest children’s neurosciences service in Europe.
