The building in Mayfair, central London promotes the Egyptian Culture within the UK.
The six-storey, Grade 2 listed building has offices and residential accommodation on the upper floors, which are provided with low temperature hot water heating along with cooling to the bedroom areas. The lower floors consist of seminar rooms, library, function rooms and exhibition spaces, which are provided with mechanical fresh air, heating and cooling. The exhibition spaces are provided with close control air conditioning to maintain a strict temperature and humidity band to preserve exhibits which will be on loan from the Petrie Museum.
These challenging design spaces, which incorporate high specification equipment, were merged into protected fabrics to meet English Heritage and our client’s strict requirements.
